We Pay Close Attention to Detail

APPLEHILL Woodworking specializes in creating one-of-a-kind functional kitchen art in the form of wood cutting boards, serving boards and other woodworking projects. These are not mass-produced in our shop as each item is handmade from start to finish. Each cutting board is a handcrafted work of art sure to bring a smile to your home!

We also make other home decor projects such as traditional foot stools, hall trees and along with small decorative boxes and tables. We are always coming up with new ideas to build a variety of different items. Keep checking our website for new additions.

Our Company

Premium End Grain Wood Cutting Boards are crafted with precision construction that with proper care can last a lifetime. We use only the best top quality hardwoods and being a small cabinet making shop we make each butcher block by hand paying careful attention to detail. Our 3-D boards can have as many as 12 different laminated panels glued-up as sandwiches and cut and milled to extremely high tolerances to produce very complicated patterns. We use only Titebond III glue, which is EPA approved as Food Safe and Waterproof. Each board is dipped into food grade mineral oil then treated with 100% natural beeswax then hand rubbed to give it a low luster and additional protection. All our boards are mainly 1 1/2" thick, but may vary slightly in thickness and woods vary in colour so each board is unique. We also produce some edge grain cutting boards generally around 1"thick just to give us a variety using some exotic species of woods as accents. All our boards come with rubber feet to help absorb the shock when chopping and keep the board steady and stable during use and allowing an air space underneath to keep the board dry and on our end grain boards we have finger grooves for easier moving
